Madeleine and Chandler met at a mutual friend's birthday party in 2021 at the University of Maryland. It so happened that Chandler was providing rides for friends, and Madeleine tagged along with another. Then, they happened to see each other in DC on the 4th of July and watched the fireworks together. They talked more frequently, went on a few dates before officially dating to start their senior year.

They both graduated the engineering college at Maryland, and got offers on opposite sides of the country- Chandler in Seattle, WA and Madeleine in Greenville, SC. They both had promising careers at both, but were in love and decided to commit to long distance. They had many adventures since but now live happily in Seattle, WA excited to get married!
