Bridesmaids
Kelly - Maid of Honor
I’m Kelly, Maryland born and raised and where I continue to reside! Maddy and I first met at the University of Maryland, more specifically gathered in the lounge of Chestertown Hall where she resided and where many of my high school friends lived as well. I came to the University of Maryland looking for familiarity in the friends I had from middle school, high school, and even elementary school, but was surprised when in the first few months of my time at the University I found a new lifelong best friend in Maddy! The best kind of friendships are the ones where you don’t truly remember a specific day or time when you became friends because you have such a natural connection from the start. That’s what I found in Maddy. From lifetime movie marathons to football games, playing Just Dance in our apartment, and our annual 5am Starbucks runs for our free cup, my time at the University of Maryland was shaped by my memories with Maddy. I loved getting to come home from class to my best friend every day! This is how I met Chandler as well. When his apartment’s pipes burst and he came to live with us, I gained another friend in an unexpected way! Chandler was a natural addition to the chaos of our apartment and I remember how much fun it was to have him around all the time. Despite being on opposite ends of the country now, Maddy and Chandler continue to be my best friends and make up my favorite memories. Visiting Maddy in Greenville, a girl’s trip to NOLA, and getting to be a part of Maddy’s first Disney trip and Maddy and Chandler’s engagement day has been nothing short of an absolute honor. The love I have for my bestest friends, Mad Dawg and Chandler is infinite and everlasting, I know you two are destined for the most beautiful life together and I look forward to all of the memories to come! Congratulations!
Anya Brown - Bridesmaid
Hi! I’m Anya, one of Maddy’s bridesmaids. I’ve known her since middle school and she was one of the first new friends I made. From the start, Maddy and I were total opposites. She loved running, hated shopping, and somehow wore no jacket in freezing weather. Me? I’m obsessed with boosting the economy, love to lay around, and need four layers just to survive 20-degree weather. But despite our differences, we bonded over our love of reading, and I quickly realized she’s kind, funny, smart, and unbelievably patient with my emotional hurricanes. We’ve made countless memories together, and yes, even a few adventures with Chandler. I have to give him some credit; he’s the only rocket scientist I know and an amazing partner to my beautiful friend. Watching their relationship grow into what it is today has been a joy, and I can’t wait to see it continue to flourish. One of my absolute favorite memories was when our friend group decided to go to Canada. We went to Niagara Falls and rode the boat, and little did I know it would involve getting completely soaked… in pink ponchos! Maddy was so happy just looking at the falls, and I was having the time of my life imagining going down in a barrel. I would drop everything and go back with her in a heartbeat. Maddy, I am so grateful for your friendship, and Chandler, thank you for being the incredible partner she deserves. Here’s to a lifetime of love, laughter, and more amazing adventures together!
Jamie Hogarty - Bridesmaid
Maddy and I's story began like most epic relationship stories start: in an airport. We met as we were both sitting at gate A4 heading home to BWI from Greenville. Bonding over us both being in Southwest's Group C from our procrastination, we started talking about anything and everything, all while somehow leaving out our names or numbers. Before we knew it, we had boarded, and once landed, somehow lost each other. Devastated, we waited for each other at baggage claim, just missing each other before we could ask the other to be friends.
Luckily, our conversation proved fruitful enough for a quick google search and a Facebook message to suffice. Maddy reassured me that I was indeed not crazy for stalking her down on the internet and was also happy that I found her. From then on, we hung out almost every day for the next two years.
She introduced me to the world of trivia, Mellow Mushroom, many friends, and of course to the lovely Chandler. Chandler and Maddy are two of the most supportive, loving, and dedicated people that I've ever met. I am so incredibly lucky to have both of them in my life and grateful for trusting me to be by their sides for this incredible moment. I can't wait to make yet another trip to the airport to watch them finally tie the knot!
Hailey Brannan - Bridesmaid
Maddy and I first met freshman year, but our friendship truly blossomed once we became roommates from sophomore through senior year of college. We supported each other through the highs and lows of college life (and “Zoom University”)—and through countless Mechanical Engineering classes! From late-night study sessions to cheering on the Terps at (almost) every football and basketball game together, Maddy has been one of my most loyal and fun-loving friends.
Sophie Trupp - Bridesmaid
Hi! I’m Sophie, I grew up in Maryland with Maddy and now live in NYC. I’ve been lucky enough to call Maddy my friend for over twenty years. Our friendship officially began on the first day of kindergarten when I sat next to her on the bus. She asked me if I wanted to be best friends, which, of course, I did. And the rest is history! Maddy has been my constant through essentially all of my living memory: she shows up no matter what, and somehow makes everything feel steadier just by being there. Growing up alongside each other, and now getting to stand beside her as she starts this next chapter is something I’ll always be so grateful for. I love you guys and I’m so excited for your big day!!
Katie Hyre - Bridesmaid
Hi! I’m Katie I live in Maryland where I met Maddy in the first grade. Since then Maddy and I have made some great memories some of my favorites being our spontaneous trips to D.C. or the nights losing call of duty to her. Maddy first introduced me to chandler at a trivia night which we promptly lost but had a ball and I saw he was just perfect for her. I’m so happy to be celebrating this amazing beautiful couple!
Groomsmen
Ethan - Best Man
I’m Ethan, I live in Denver Colorado where I am a spacecraft propulsion design engineer, and I have the privilege and honor of being the groom’s best man.
I met Chandler and Maddy in college at the University of Maryland. Chandler and I were both Aerospace Engineering students, and we became great friends when we studied abroad together in Madrid. I met Maddy through Chandler, and have been so lucky to know and to be friends with this lovely couple.
Connor Boerman - Groomsman
Hey, I’m Connor! Chandler and I grew up in the same hometown but I didn’t have the absolute pleasure of meeting him until high school, where we helped each other survive some classes we should have never been let into. We parted ways through college but life brought us back together before long! Chandler and I both landed in Seattle coincidentally working at the same company. We helped each other get acquainted with life after school which I’ll always be grateful for. I was introduced to Maddy in her treks out here and her eventual move — they’re very clearly made for each other and I cannot wait to celebrate their big day!
Nikolai Wagner - Groomsman
Heyo my name is Nikolai and I am Chandlers cousin we go way way back!! Chandler and I are the same age, growing up it was always chandler and I. We did a ton together wether it was swimming in our grandparents pool, flying thru my parents fields on the golf cart to the countless summer days tubing and jet skiing on the lake he grew up on, we were always finding stuff to do together! We went snowboarding with his dad at Boyne Mountain and we would go sporting clay shooting with my dad whenever chandler came home! Chandler has always been the brother I never had. When he moved to college in Maryland we stayed in close touch and that's where he met Maddy thru the holidays and trips to Michigan it has been fun to get to know her and see them grow as a couple! I am honored and excited to stand by them on the happiest day of thier life!
Shawn Lee - Groomsman
My name is Shawn, and I first met Chandler in 2022 when we started on the same engineering team working on a rocket we eventually helped launch last year. It was during our time in Cape Canaveral that Chandler and I truly became friends, through late nights and early mornings putting out fires (mostly figurative, sometimes literal) to send a rocket to orbit. One of my fondest memories with him is when Chandler took me out to Cocoa Beach to teach me how to surf. Though we ended up spending most of the time just trying not to lose our surfboards and stay afloat in the waves (and I most certainly saw a shark just before entering the water), it was one of the most fun and unforgettable experiences I’ve had in recent memory. Seeing the kind of person Chandler is, steady, patient, and always there for the people around him, I could not be happier that he found that same kind of partner in Maddy. I am incredibly happy for them both and so grateful to be celebrating such a special moment in their lives.
Joe McLauglin - Groomsman
Hello! My name is Joe, I’m a friend of Chandler’s from college. I grew up in the Philadelphia area and currently live in Delaware. Chandler and I met freshman year in the University of Maryland marching band, specifically at the brutally hot band camp in August. I think one of the first things I said to him (jokingly) was “chandler you’re about to lose kneecap privileges” and the rest was history.
One of my favorite memories together had to be the snowshoeing trip we took to Mount rainier. The scenery was unreal and spending it with friends made it that much better. Another great memory was taking “the great journey” to Leavenworth in the dead of winter to go see the Christmas lights. Chandler drove us through a snowstorm and 3 inches of snow, while our two friends in the back were drunk doing Batman impressions. It was an experience I’ll never forget.
Sam Allgaier - Groomsman
Chandler and I met over eight years ago, after being assigned to the same first-year aerospace project at UMD. But the next time we met was when we really hit it off as buds--pointing at each other in recognition at the following marching band rehearsal, laughing at the fact that we didn't realize we had been sharing the same field for hours a day over the prior month. Through marching band and school work, we got to know each other really well, and our friendship just grew stronger after becoming roommates during our Sophomore year. Our time together was filled with playing Call of Duty and Dungeons & Dragons, but also late night study sessions to make sure Chandler would one day get his name on a rocket! In 2021, I was honored to have Chandler as a member of my own Groom's Gang on the best day of my life, and now I'm ecstatic to return the favor and be there for him and Maddy.
